The wait is over – the new documentation is now live!

We are pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Morfik 2.4. You can download the update from here. In addition to bug-fixes and other improvements, there is one feature that makes this release especially exciting—the introduction of a new documentation system.

Comprehensive and up-to-date documentation was something that Morfik had been lacking for some time. Being software developers ourselves, we fully sympathize with our users who had to master and use this powerful system while it was still under-described.

The challenge we were facing was that the product itself was undergoing such rapid transformation that it was impossible for the documentation process to keep up. However, as Morfik began to reach maturity we felt it was the right time to invest more heavily in producing and maintaining the documentation on a level that matched the product itself.

With that in mind we set out to build a new documentation system that would provide our users with easy access to the full body of up-to-date information available about Morfik. We also wanted to remind Morfik developers that the F1 key on their keyboard is there for a reason!

Building this new system and filling it with content took us quite some time, and we appreciate the patience of those of you who had to put up with the poor state of our documentation all that time. We hope that the end result is well worth it and justifies the wait.

One important thing to note is that the new documentation site is not a finished project — nor will it ever be finished! We will constantly work on adding new, and improving existing content. This is where we need your help. If you are looking for information and cannot find it, or would like to see a better explanation, please let us know. And of course, if you would like to contribute — your help would be greatly appreciated!

Enough talk, go to http://wiki.morfik.com and let us know what you think.

Thanks for the update, having the code samples for CX version really makes my life that bit easier. It would be nice though to have a show button for the FX part so that this could be minimised with the aim of creating a consistent wiki for a user of a specific language.
