Morfik is pleased to announce the release of the tcPDF Report Package.
The Morfik tcPDFReport package contains server-side classes that allow the creation of run-time PDF documents that include Unicode characters and is based on the open source TCPDF PHP software which can be downloaded here.
This package includes a sample project that shows how to implement required features in your Morfik projects. This package is available to all MDA Plus and MDA Premium subscribers and can be downloaded from the Morfik Packages webpage.
Morfik is pleased to announce the release of the Google Analytics package update for Morfik 2 and Morfik 3.
Most prominent features of the updated Google Analytics package include multiple domain tracking, event tracking, ecommerce and more.
We are getting close to releasing an update to Morfik 3, and today I'd like to share with you some exciting news about the work that has been done on improving the performance of websites created with Morfik. For this update we have focused on the server-side performance, here is a list of improvements that will be included in 3.0.2
Morfik 3 further enhances the presentation capabilities of user interface controls with new animation and transition effects. The rich user interface controls built into Morfik IDE are among the most graphically striking elements available in development tools today. Morfik 3 narrows the gap between the skill set of application developers and graphic artists and the results are serious web business applications with stunning visual appeal developed in record time.
I asked Dmitry Medvedev, who is leading the development of these new features, for some technical insight. Here is what he said:
Today I would like to share with you a preview of another exciting new feature found in the upcoming Morfik 3—an enhanced widgets system. I called Sergey Kostinsky and asked him for some insight into this. Here is what he said:
One of the biggest surprises of Morfik 3 is going to be delivered through a package! While the Morfik development team is still unsure about its inclusion in the first beta, they are confident that this package will be ready in time for the final release.
For a wide range of developers, native database connectivity (for databases other than Firebird) has been an important missing feature in Morfik. The Morfik development team spent a lot of time examining various methods for incorporating this feature into the product. They have come up with a powerful way to bring you native database connectivity using the package architecture.
Let me start by saying how pleasantly surprised I was yesterday when I looked at the latest build of Morfik 3.
While going through the standard routine of creating a new project, Morfik IDE presented me with some ready-made web page templates ("pages as first class objects" are key new design entities in Morfik 3 and you will hear a lot more about them), but what really caught my attention was the fact that it included specially designed template pages for iPhone!
